Are you one of those feeling anxious, stressed out, and worried by all that is happening at this time?

In my country, Trinidad and Tobago, there is a huge upsurge of anxiety, stress, and worry as we face a second wave of COVID. Understandably so. This time we are facing the Brazilian variant which is aggressive and very contagious. We have also been in different degrees of lockdown since March 2020. Many people are suffering and worn out.

We are not the only country in this situation.

I decided that one of my contributions should be this gift – a mind body relaxation using your breath. It is very simple but powerful.

This is a technique that I use myself whenever I find I’m about to go down the rabbit hole of stress and worry. I also teach this at all my workshops and retreats. Participants love it.

The great thing about focusing on your breath is that it brings you into the present. You cannot breathe in the past or in the future. It grounds you. It makes you realise that you are alive! And in terms of facing COVID the fact that you can breathe is of great importance, right?

My only caution is that you should NOT listen while driving. Many people fall asleep while doing it.
